Ingredients:
4 boneless chicken breast,
chopped
2 large onions, chopped
6 tbsp plain yogurt
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp chili powder
2 (1 inch) cinnamon stick
2 cloves
2 cardamoms
4 pepper corns, crushed
2 tsp salt
3 tbsp olive oil
3 tbsp butter
1/3 cup sliced almonds
How
to Cook:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 2 quart baking dish.
- Heat oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat. Cook onions in oil until soft.
- Place onion, yogurt, garlic, turmeric, chili powder, garam masala into the bowl of a blender. Blend into a smooth paste. Add a bit of water or yogurt to thin it if needed.
- Place chicken into baking dish, and pour the onion and masala paste over the chicken.
- Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked well.
- Sprinkle sliced almonds over the top, and serve.
- You can also add a handful of golden raisins to the chicken.
