Ingredients:
1 kg Chicken, cut into
pieces
1 cup Oil
750 gram Tomatoes,
chopped
3 tsp Ginger slices
1 medium pod Garlic, finely
chopped
10-15 Green Chilies,
chopped
Salt to taste
1 tsp Red chili powder
1 tsp Red chili
1 tsp Coriander seed
½ tsp turmeric
10 pieces whole Cloves
15-20 pieces
whole Black pepper
½ tsp Cumin powder
½ tsp Garam Masala
How to Cook:
- In a pan, mix chicken with 1-2 glass of water, garlic, ginger and spices.
- Cook on medium flame till chicken is tender.
- In separate pan heat oil, add tomatoes and cook on medium flame till tomatoes become tender and most of the water is evaporated.
- Add tendered chicken to it, and cook for another 10 minutes.
- Sprinkle chopped green chilies and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Delicious Punjabi Chicken Karhai is ready.
- Serve with Naan/Roti and salad.
